i saw a black 57 plate mk1 octavia today on the m40 by stokenchurch,now dont get me wrong but i thought they stopped producing the mk1 on a 55 plate.

Nevertheless i have to say it was imaculate to say the least and the chap who was driving it seemed well chuffed with himself tooting along at 60mph,bit of a shokker! :confused:

Think what are left are being sold mainly for taxis, correct me if I'm wrong. He must have got one of the last of the Mk1's.

Yup Tours which are the classic are still rolled out. Even the really late 'Classics' were going long after the 2 was out is some really bizzare specs, things like wind up windows and climatronic.

yep my dad has one with wind up windows and climronic and his is a 55 plate

Mine was an 06 reg MK1 TDi with colour coded door handles and wng mirrors.Elec windows,elec/heated mirrors,remote central locking and it was a "Classic" model.Still avaliable until 2010 but i think only TDI and SDi engines now.

Interesting as there are loads of 08 taxis here in oxford:thumbup:

i've got a 56 mk1 or as it is called the a4 model they are still producing them as there is still such a great demand for them as they are tried and tested by TAXI drivers down here in swansea the latter a5 model seem to be having a few problems
