Hi,My trusty Y reg 1.9TDi Octavia, is making unusual loud clicking noised from the dashboard. These clicks are intermittent and can occur one day the dissapearthe next. I don't think it's the indicators going berserk, because they work fine.My initial thoughts were a failed indicator bulb, but I've checked them and they're fine.Any suggestions?

Does it happen sometimes when the turbo boosts on and off, i have a Y reg 1.9TDi and I sometimes get this, im assuming its a relay that is clicking, been doin it for a few years with not problems... just my thoughts.

Do you have air con ????

Could be the re circulation flap motor.

Or the glow plug relay if its when cold.

It could be the Hazard warning switch or the indicator switch in the steering column. Do a search as it has been covered before. I had the same problem and it was the hazard warning switch

i had a similar problem with my octy, an annoying clicking noise coming from the dash board, under the steering wheel. when i took off all the plastic panels i realized that the origin of the sound was the central lock module. the module itself was not the problem but a dirty contact on the driver door control unit. after cleaning it up the clicking noise disappeared.
