Noticed my tailgate on my VRS is starting to develope a problem. When i press the release button i hear/feel the mico-switch click but the tailgate doesnt always release every time in order for me to open it. Is the lock electronic as well and prone to failure??

Probably wants adjusting.

as in adjust the striker so its not so tight? Or you refering to the release part?

it happened me last week, the sticker was bent and missing mechanism completely. must have got junk from boot jammed betwwen it and boot lid
