clutch price??

Featured Replies

Anyone had their clutch changed on their vRS?

What did it cost to do?

Yeah good question, I wouldn't mind knowing aswell.

Just looked on Awesome's site, and couldn't find clutch replacement on their standard pricelist.

You thinking standard clutch, or uprated?

No idea how long the job would take. 4 hours?

You might need the DMF doing as well. My eye is on this thread.

i bloody well hope not! LOL

If it needs it doing then I'll sell the car as it is at a cut down price! CBA spending all that on it!

The standard clutch has been ok for me, so i'll be replacing it with a standard one

i have just recieved two quotes one dealer one not, to replace a clutch and flywheel on a TDi.

Don't know how comparable but it can't be that different to do?

lets say i won't be getting change from £500... the main dealer was talking of upto £800 worst case scenario!!!!!!!

basically 250 clutch kit + labour +vat

when i bought my car a month ago there is a bill for clutch replacement which had just been carried out 2k ago which cost £866.86!! clutch & flywheel assembly£475.00,release bearing £22.75 & labour £240.00,+ the vat, im a mechanic by trade & £475.00 sounds expensive to me for parts. glad i wasnt paying! & glad its been done already!

500 euro inc vat that includes the fly wheel which is recommended by vw\skoda\audi to be changed

Chuck the dual mass and get a single mass flywheel + clutch. They are more reliable, cheaper and lighter so less weight on the flywheel= faster...apparently.

500 euro inc vat that includes the fly wheel which is recommended by vw\skoda\audi to be changed

You can't even get the parts for that price. You're looking at around £900, using genuine parts with the flywheel.

€500 euro quoted from vw\skoda Kilkenny ireland didn't buy it as the new engine i bought only had 27k on it both looked good

must just price it to see again but that was def the price have it written down here

Hmmm curious now £900 seems a bit dear got a price today for a new turbo for a 05 caddy van 1200 euro so it seems strange how a clutch would be the same
