MFD in to Fabia. plug & play question !

Featured Replies

Hiya folks, got myself an MFD from fleabay, went to my local skoda dealer to ask about recoding and they say it can't be done  but if I bring the unit to them they can have a look at the serial no. and retrieve the original one !! what do you think ? true or false ?

Second point, got myself a plug & play cable from germany and the two wires labelled c-bus H and c-bus L ! what the heck are these for, any ideas ?

regards all, rob

p.s. the car's an '05 model

I think it sounds as though one of you has your definition of recoding confused.

I think you mean recoding the controller (They would use VAS however DIY is VAG-COM)

I think they mean Radio Security Code which they can supply from the vehicle chassis number and the MFD serial number begining SKZ.

Can Hi and Can Lo are communications wires. Often Orange/Brown and Orange/Violet

Hi Stu, thanks for the reply, but in terms of the plug & play wiring, do I have to do any thing with these can hi and can lo wires to get the MFD working ?

Some radio codes can no longer be obtained without having the car hooked up online to the factory.
