Car from the dealer after service and the drivers door doesn't "close" unless i bang it hard. All doors were perfect before! Not so bad that I need to make a visit to the dealer but annoying nevertheless.

The only change is I got those plastic door sill protectors (Skoda orginal) but all other doors with same sill protectors close and open alright. And it does not look like these sill protectors make contact with door at all. (I could be wrong)

It doesn't close unless I bang it hard. And It doesn't open if I am gentle with the lock handle. And when it does unlock, the lock handle springs back with force as if it was kept shut under lot of force.

What to look for?

Managed to fix it. The upper (shorter one) sill protection strip was misplaced by half an inch. Removed and stuck it again. Problem solved. Hope the glue is not as weak as it feels.

Did they fit the protectors at service?

Yes, fitted while the car was given for service.

They asked me if I am interested in any accessories, so I bought door sill protection strips, rear window sun blinds and a chrome exhaust finisher. Good stuff.

Though I feel chrome exhaust finisher and sill protection strips should be standard! (They are not in India)
