After almost two months of waiting, I took delivery of some seat covers from:

The Roof Box Company: sales and hire of Thule roof boxes and other brands of roof boxes, roof bars and bike carriers

They fit very well (UK Covers) for universal ones and are way better in quality than the pathetic Argos efforts I had in the vRS before. I bonus is the black/grey colour scheme that is similar to the exisitng seat pattern and for £32, very reasonable.

On a different note, the other day I was in my other half's Peugeot 207 CC and my next door neibour said "Good to see you in a decent car at last". This is from a man who drives an Astra Club/(get a) Life/Style and has no idea what a vRS is about.
