Hello there, Any idea how to fix the center console ashtray as mine has stoped locking closed. It still springs up and closes but doesnt stay closed.... quite annoying as I hide bits in there when I leave the car. Can this be fixed or do I need a new one?

Mine does this sometimes when the carpet and sound deadening below it has lifted up, or when something has fallen through my ashtray (there is a hole in it) and its gotten under it...

Just replaced mine as it had the same problem (Springs up and down but will not lock into place)

If you take the Ashtray out and look inside there is a little plastic arm on the left hand side! this has a tiny little knob thats is on the arm and locks into a plastic catch at the back, unfortunately my knob had snapped off (LOL)

Cost £34 (EEEEEK) from Skoda for the part and only has four screws to remove it! You get the whole unit with the flip down face and the removable ashtray that slips inside.
