Electrical Faults

Featured Replies

Hi all. i Don't know if this fault has already come up but i am having some electrical issues with my Octavia and i was wondering if anyone has come across it before i lash out 50-80 quid to have it plugged in at a garage.

As of today my Passenger window does not work, My passenger door does not lock either on the Key or on the Fob, my driver's door does not lock on the fob, my rear electric windows are starting to play up and my door mirrors don't move and the heater elements are not working.

It's highly unlikely that all these components have died at the same time so the only thing that i can think of is the wiring itself or a common component that they all connect to (i have already checked fuses and have ruled them out).

All help very gratefully received.

Thanks

Adrian Young

Try doing a search on "central convenience". Could be a problem with the controller or wiring or both.

As above & Welcome to the forum

Yup. Look in your manual for the fuse allocations for the central locking and the offending window. Pop the fuses out for a few seconds, pop them back in again, and everything should be fine!

Welcome to Briskoda, by the way! :)

:+1: Try the fuse trick first, and if it doesn't work, you've got a steer on what to try next.
