312mm Brakes...Good price????

Featured Replies

I have been offered a used set of octavia vrs 312mm brakes for £155 inc delivery.

I haven't seen them but the discs, carriers and calipers are described as good condition.

But they will need new pads.

Is this a good price and do I gamble without seeing them????

I know its £310 from golfturbo for a delivery mileage TT set.

thats not a bad price at all if they are as described:thumbup:

Think I'll take a punt on them.

Surely there can't be too much that could be wrong with em.

as long as the calipers are ok they will be right, you might need some new disks, but who knows untill they turn up,good luck:thumbup:

see if you can get the rear vented off the octy as well:thumbup:

I got mine for £150, then bought new groved and drilled discs for £90!

Much better than standard!

Go for it!

As long as the carriers and calipers are in good condition thats all that matters. Once they have a lick of paint they will be as good as new, you can then of course procure new pads and discs and then you've basically got a brand new set of brakes for a good price.

Bought the set today. Hopefully receive by saturday.

What discs and pads would you recommend?

Or are the standard discs and pads ok?

I seem to recall grooved and drilled discs help braking but wear pads quicker???

They look nice behind the wheels tho
