Fabia Vrs Bonnet...Help?

Featured Replies

After some scum decided my bonnet looked better with two lines going across it I am looking for a replacement bonnet for my Vrs..

I have had a quote from a body shop for £140 for a complete respray of the panel, but i was wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a complete bonnet assy from a rear ended fabia....Obviously it would need to be black other wise it would be just as easy to get mine re done :D

I was just wondering if any one knows of a fabia in a breakers yard that I could have the bonnet off, I have tried a quick online search, but there seems to be no black fabia's being broken...

Cheers

Hmmm maybe pm Johnny50 as I'm sure he works for a car salvage company.

Sorry some scum bucket has done this. I blame the parents...I just had a quote from a Worcester based company that's well known for doing insurance work etc. For my fabia bonnet to be resprayed they wanted OVER £400 :thumbdwn: Yes I know that includes a little flatting work but there is no damage as such.£140? I'd Go for it. And you will be keeping the car original. No having to dismantle this, that and the other. And you know yours is fundamentally sound (no nasties hiding under the paint other than aforementioned damage)

over £400 for a bonnet to be sprayed???

BIG windows!

At £140 i would get your painted.

If you buy another can you guarantee that:

1. there will be no scratches or chips on the bonnet?

2. if it is posted, it wont get damaged 'in transit'?

by the time you have paid for the bonnet @ £50+ (?) postage (or collected it) you will not be much better off and there are bound to be stone chips and small scratches on the 'new' one, really not worth the hassle IMO.

Now £400 to paint it is a different kettle of fish altogether.

I agree - Carbon Fibre ;) - Do It.
