Windscreen washer jets

Featured Replies

Does anyone happen to know if the direction of spray on windscreen washer nozzles can be altered as most of the spray ends up on the roof or the rear screen, asked a guy who used to work at a dealer but he says cant be done.

Yes it can be done. If you look at the nozzle there's a horizontal bar you can press/pull to adjust the height.

Funnily enough, I had to do mine at the weekend. Had to ask the wife for a pin to adjust the jets, and found that you can do it without - just a finger will do!

Aaah, pin in the washer nozzle: classic!

although you still need a pin to do the rear washers. Took me a little while to get those two right (at one point could clean the car to right of me at the same time as my rear window!!!). As stated earlier the front is a simple nudge with a finger.

I adjusted mine down (fronts) and then when it came back from the service they had adjusted them back up again! I appreciate that when you are driving at 70mph the water jet will be pushed down a bit, but equally I don't need to wash the car behind everytime I use my washer around town!

Funny, I just noticed the same thing, a guy 2 feet back at a traffic light was sounding his horn, then I noticed he had

his window down and his shirt was soaked.

It wasn't like that a while ago. Oh well, must adjust them.
