It's tempting it it does. When it say's DVD version, does that mean it will play DVD's too, not just the DVD map packs?

yes this will work, been looking at 1 for myself. Dont think they will play dvd`s tho, think its the mfd3 that will play dvd films- (when not drivin).

OK, so what is the difference between the CD and DVD versions?

Quality of maps?

Number of countries?

etc...

I only need UK maps.

Think the dvd version has all of the european maps on 1 disc.

the cd version you have to purchase new maps on cd for every country?

Keep in mind that's a VW branded unit, i.e. VW splash screen, red backlighting on the keys and knobs.

Ok its a cheap chinese knock off but its had decent reviews I know the menus look naff but a group in australia are already hacking it to get them looking better.

Should have mine tomorrow will post pics up when its fitted.

But an MFD1 or 2 is not a great deal more than that to buy so why risk it? :confused:

Mfd2 has not got bluetooth or ipod connection so when you add these up its well over the £350 ive paid and that included postage and Tom Tom installed. I cant see any risk brought from uk seller who offers 14 day money back with 1 year warrenty.
