vrs bumpers on normal fabia

Featured Replies

rite guys ive just looked on the search and been looking up fitting a skoda fabia vrs bumpers to a standard 1.4mpi classic, ive found out it fits but ive seen some 1 say that you need a " 2 part grille fitting" what is that? is the rest a straight swap?

Regards dan

The actual bumpers are a straight swap. The grille bits refer to the foglight / surround arrangements on the fabia vRS front bumper. Rear bumper is straight swap.

so do they fit the existing mountings? ahh i mite get some them, what roughly would u say a repspray for them would cost front and back bumpers? £250? ish

Don't know about the price, but I'd only bother with the front unless you're planning on getting a new exhaust to fill the cut-out on the vRS rear bumper...

you need two extra clippy things to hold the bumper on but it fitted ok:)

Yeah - the bumpers clip on to the original spots. At least mine do. Not sure what extra clips Leon is referring to - curious to know exactly. :)

£250 sounds about right. This is for providing a bodyshop with differently coloured vRS front & rear bumpers (front bumper including the foglight surround fittings) and getting them resprayed in the colour of your choice. I would recommend fitting the bumeprs first, so then the bodyshop can colour match better, and blow in the bumpers to your wings, etc (if needed)

hey jase! theres the normall clips on the wings, but the vrs bumper needed (well for mine) an extra 2 clips to hold the bumper in place underneith i think... i cant really rememeber where they went but they were about £3 each:)

Ah yes - I remember now - When fitting mine it was noted it was a bit flappy under, so we used a couple of self-tappers to secure it to the plastic casing of the fan above (ensuring not fouling anything of course :))
