Anyone out there help me with the advice over the cost of a new or repaired heat exchanger (radiator) for the climate control - mine was holed by a stone chip (I think) in France over the weekend. First sign was clouds of refrigerant coming out the front end when I stopped. Thought I was boiling over. Seems to be a weakness with the air intakes - too much unprotected grill space allowing stones to hit the matrix at speed ?

The aircon radiator should be under 200euros ( at least that's what a friend in Austria paid for the part, labour was extra), and you will also be charged for pressure testing(free to 20E) and refilling the aircon system with R134a, about 10E/100 grams where I live.
