Featured Replies

Got my new Magnex cat back (new to me anyway) today and got it fitted - what you think? needs played about with to get it in the centre of the cutout but will do for me:cool:.

Suprisingly it makes quite a nice grumble when near peak boost :D

A lot more than i was expecting, around town it sounds and looks stock - well chuffed

Like it, looks nice. How loud is it on the motorway etc?

Ah, if you ever manage to straight it up a bit, tell us how you've done it!

I've got the same exhaust and it's a tiny bit off centre, never managed to figure a way to centre it though.

Not taken it a drive really yet, from first impressions its as quite as the OEM system if driven normally but when at full boost it gives off a nice powerful grumble..

:D

And you're still not a "boy racer" then ?

:D

Seriously though, looks nice. :)

Audi TT competition alloys.

For sale in the for sale section ;)

An exhaust nozzle where you don't have to polish the innards - I approve

Does this give any performance benefit?

Oh, get some tyre dressing will you? Honestly...:P

A bit of a thread hijack, but if your thinking of a performance exhaust, then go for a not cat or box system.

Not too loud.

I was told by a local exhaust specialist (prospeed, cardiff - members will tell you of his excellent reputation), that a straight pipe with a no backbox is not the best way to do things. He suggested a 2.5" bore pipe to the rear, no box in the middle but a small derestricted box at the back in place of the standard item.

Yeah exhaust only needs polished on the outside :)

/\ in reply to that i thought the fabia didnt have a middle box??

when my oem one was removed today it was simply back box straight into cat??

No middle box, only had CAT and rear box.

NOT a boy racer......

Yeah Right....

The Fabia only has 1 box on to start with

Would have thought that a straight through would not be the best idea
