oil separator importance

Featured Replies

Hi every body i have a felly 1.6 mpi, since i bought the my car, the hose between the body throttel and oil separator is missing what is the importance of it and does it really matter?

If I understand correctly the main risk is muck and grit being sucked into the throttle body (which is what the air filter is there to prevent).

also the vacuum created by the engine evacuates the engine block of air which makes it run more smoothly

I shouldn't have thought it would cost much for a replacement and if none availible try a scrapper

this pipe cost me £3.70 last week from skoda, although another skoda dealer did want £7.cheap to buy, easy to fit, and makes a difference.

the problem is that i am in egypt and i brought my car from italy and the problem that in egypt the fellys come with 1.3 engine not the 1.6 so i am faceing a true problem as there is no parts for my car ,about the opened hole in the body throttle i have clogged it with something to prevent air to enter through it and some people also told me that the oil separator used to heat up the engine in case of the low tempreature and in egypt u needn`t this as the weather here always hight temp, my question is is that true or it is just a words from a mad man?? and does it affects the performance of the car?
