Service Interval

Featured Replies

I'm hoping to buy a Fabia vRS later in the year. What's the service interval on these cars ?.

I do no more than 10K miles a year. Will it just need a service every 12months plus additional work for 20K, 40K miles etc ?.

When is a cambelt change due on these engines ?. I read somewhere that the belts on diesels are normally changed at 40K rather than 60K for most petrol engined cars.

Cambelt service is due at the 60k mark for diesels and 120k mark for petrols :D Servicing for fixed is at 10k intervals with "major" services at 20k, 40k, 60k, etc.

Does anybody know where I can get a servicing manual for the fabia, because my dealer won't provide it, and haynes haven't published it. By servicing manual i mean the instructions step by step that mechanics use to dismantle bits and pieces and sefvice the car (such as the haynes popular manuals). I'd appreciate had someone give me a link to such a manual or at least tell me where i can get it from if it's not possible to download it free from somewhere.

Service is 10k on the furby vRS, as stated earlier the cambelt is 60k on diesel and 120k miles on petrol, however my dealer has recommended as have others here getting the 1.8T cambelt belt changed at 60k also. There is a thread stuck at the top of the forum with pics of what happens when the belt breaks.

Regarding service book, I dont think anything is available here. BUT if all you want is illustrations check out foreign publications, I had a citroen xm for my sins for a while, no haynes manual. So I purchased one in france, in french of course. Came in handy on a few occasions.

Thanks ;)
