HELP! Christmas lights on the dash...

Featured Replies

Well I finally fitted my coilovers at the weekend, and tbh it was a nightmare from the start!

I know the standard front struts are really long, and difficult to get out, I did borrow some spring compressors (which where rubbish!), but basically ended up having to remove the hub, to get the struts out!

When finally everything was re-assembled, I started the car up to see a delightful array of bright lights including powersteering, abs and traction control!

I short road test, did not change anything, anyone got any ideas to what I've broken?

I will be checking all the sensors and connections properly tonight....

Has this happened to anyone before?

Knowing from experiance the abs sensor should go off within a few miles of driving the car if you have taken off any wheels but not sure on all the dash lights.

Possibly ABS sensor contained within the hub? this is quite fragile seemingly.

could be the connecting wire from the hub to the abs unit,

they are soooo thin, like a hair! this is the case on audi's so assume its the same on Skoda,

we had to cut out a section and replace with another rather than payment £140 for a full abs sensor and wire

I'll try taking it for a spin first for a few miles as recommended, then will have a good look at the pesky wires.....blooming cars!!

get the codes cleared with vagcom too, then go for a drive, if they come back then something if dead then the lights will come back on!
