My new truck!

Featured Replies

took delivery of this beast just yesterday from our workshop up in Edmonton.

Ford F-350 Super Duty

6.4 litre twin turbo diesel

350bhp and 650lb-ft

Cruise control, ipod input, two stage aircon and boost gauge all fitted as standard:D

during the 180 mile trip down from Edmonton to Calgary it averaged a whopping 12.3 mpg!

Have you seen the crash tests for Trucks?

They don't have to pass the same as cars and crumple badly even when they hit a car which is tall enough/new enough to cause an impact of a decent force.

Have to say they are massive though and when I was in the US these look like they will just drive over most cars :o

i know what you mean, i ran over a smart car the other day and thought i'd just hit a big pothole. It wasn't till i saw the blood stains on the tyres a while later that i realised what had happened :D

I looked at the livery on the paint job and laughed at the irony - 'The Clean Air People' on a 6-litre diesel truck!

Your 180 mile trip, in todays money, would have cost £87.78 over here.

Very tuneable ;)

Very Very F.Ugly, as well as been very contradictory regarding "the clean air people". More like "lets add even more polution than a double decker bus does".

Very nice, very intimidating.

Snow Performance down the road from you have just the right gear to help you with fuel economy. Is water still free in Canada?

Now if only I could weld two Fabias together...Or maybe three; one for the engine, one for the fuel tank and one to sit in...

The truck has an PTO powered vacuum system which pulls 25000CFM and is used to service industrial aircon systems, hence the size and 5.5 ton weight, it is also fitted with a huge particle filter on the exhaust system which produces not a trace of black smoke. I take it your octavia exhausts nothing more than clean mountain air

i agree that is is ugly tho' :D

Apparently with just a tuning box 425bhp and 750lb-ft is easily acheivable. :D

Shame its not mine really......

its actually a very nice thing to drive even with the weight on the back, of course i would'nt dream of using it to intimidate people in any way at all . pretty pointless really as everyone else drives trucks this big!
