Hi and quick question

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Owned a couple of Skoda Octavias over the past 8 years and been a lurker for

a few years just finally got around to registering. Currently I have

a Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI and have noticed that I am getting some rust on

one of the parts in the engine compartment. i don't know the name of the

part, but it pictured here (the one with the red circle around it):

(This isn't a photo of my engine just one I found on the web and drew the circle around)

It has a concave top and rust has started to form there, there appears a small amount

of fine (clean) oil collecting in the concave top of it.

Can anyone tell me what the part is? Is it part of the turbo? Maybe an oil filter for the turbo?

My car is still under manufacturers warranty, would this sort of corrosion be covered?

Thanks,

Jason.

welcome to briskoda.

Might be an idea to stick your querie in the octavia section for a quick answer.
