Which Diesel 1.9 0r 2.0?

Featured Replies

dunno if the 2.0 is CR - but if it is - would likely tolerate allsorts of biodiesel better than a PD.

May be of interest if you decide to mess about with biodiesel or home-made fuel at any point.....

Have driven both and would go for the 2.0 every time.

I have driven many of both, I would go for the 1.9 as they are a lot less hassle.

Thanks for the advice guys, as for Mk I vs II he prefers the newer shape, not sure how the petrol v diesel argument goes. He doesn't do high mileage but will keep a car for some time. The outgoing one is a Golf Driver (94) with about 140 k. It has just started making expensive noises so he wants rid of it.

For me its simple, the Fabia Vrs only comes in oilburner and I love the way it goes!

... although if the 1.4 super/turbocharged petrol became available...
