For some reason my Fabia's clock has a habbit of gaining time every few months. I am not sure if this is because I am heavy handed when I reset the trip or something.

Has anyone else found this? Typically it takes 6 months to gain about 5 mins.

Dunno about 5 minutes, but it's usually a minute or two out by the time the clocks change each Spring / Autumn. I find the clocks on most 'non-timepieces' (videos, microwaves, cars) to be pretty poor at timekeeping, and barely a month goes by when something's not so far out that I have to adjust it...

It doesn't bother me because the talex tells me the time acurately whenever I become stationary - and we tend to always be stationary!

I think mine gains time. Only a bit but I have noticed it.

I generally leave the display on the temp setting and use the HU clock....

The clocks in cars sometimes gain time if its a 12clock, and your alternator is putting out more voltts, but isnt common with digi clocks!

I think I've heard of this on other VAG cars. Seem to remember a friend getting a clock changed under a warranty. A Lupo IIRC.

Not noticed it myself though.

Ive not noticed mine gaining , it seems pretty good , TBH .

Its all part of Doc Browns space time continueum, and flux capacitors.
