Hi

Since my near side wheel bearing was replaced by Skoda main steeler a couple of months back I have not been 100% satisfied that it was done properly. I just called them and although they have agreed to check it out they advised that the noise could be comming from the diff.

The simptoms are exactly that of a warn bearing.... Anyone had this from a diff before??

have you tried rotating your tyres to see if the noise switches from front to rear?

Chenged plenty of diff bearings in 02J gearboxes as they get noisy. just fitted a new pair in my gearbox as a precaution.
