Yes, without security code is useless to someone who gets it from you. I know some people who got it second hand and then could do nothing with it because of code missing. On the other hand I've seen one on eBay some time ago and seller offers, for £20 more, to "crack" it so it wouldn't need the code anymore. As I have the Audience HU in my Octy, I hope it's not possible to "crack" it. Otherwise, all thieves would start breaking into Octy's to get it.

I bought the car new, so one would imagine i have it..somwhere. The head units is brilliant but the lack of Ipod control has made be buy an after market model.
