Estate roller boot cover

Featured Replies

Our Octy Estate has just passed it's 1st birthday, and has suffered its first damage.

Today i gently leant on the handle of the roller shelf (not on purpose) and heard a crack and felt the shelf drop on the right side. Seems i've snapped the placcy that runs in the groove on the side :(

Anyone else found these blinds flimsy, or was this just me being a clumsy git?!

And also - any rough ideas on a replacement price? I've had a whizz around eBay but so far.... nothing!

Cheers,

Andy.

You might find a replacement at a breaker quicker than ebay ?

No, I haven't broken mine, but it doesn't feel particularly sturdy, so I treat it gently.

Thanks for the warning, and I'll let you know when mine has had a 35kg dog stand on it. That's fairly certain to happen within the first few months. The one on the Golf is a bit bent, but still quite functional.

What about the warranty? Surely this would be covered?

I imagine that they'd class it as 'Accidental Damage' and it wo0uldn't be covered. Depends on how much they want your custom I guess...

Think I still have a spare Mk I version in the shed - but very much doubt it will fit the Mk II.

I got one for a land rover disco 2!! in my shed.

Is it the version with the cut out for the 2nd A/C unit in the back? If it is, someone was looking for one on a forum somewhere - can't remember where though...
