Heated ORVM

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

The monsoons just hit India and i got a chance to use all the different features of my car that are meant for the rains (rain sensing wipers, rain closing windows and the like)

Noticed one thing though that the heated mirrors dont really seem to be working, does it take really long for the mirrors to take effect, or are mine not really functioning????

Any Insight????????

Two things:

1. They may only work when the rear window heater is also on.

2. They're really only designed to clear condensation on the mirrors in cold climates, so may not work very well with warm rain...

Hope this helps!

I had these on my MK 1 octy and unless there was a major downpour (which I guess you have!) also found them useful in "drying" out the mirrors.....obvsiouly not a good idea to open the window and wipe them whilst your driving along!
