Having just cloned my poorly hard drive I now have a partitioned hard drive. Does anybody know of any freeware that will allow me to remove the partition and restore the capacity to the C drive. I know its not strictly required to do this but is something I would like to do, the new drive is somewhat larger than the original with the partition being at the size of the original drive

Partition Magic will do that , though it's not freeware.

Plenty of pikey-ware versions floating around on the net....

Has lots of utilities, is free of charge and will be able to sort out your hard drive as well as many other things. Invaluable tool IMHO
