Are you ordering one?

Featured Replies

We have had a lot of interest in the new superb, are you thinking of getting one, or waiting to see if there ok first?

I'm certainly waiting to see what I think. Its an estate in a V6 Diesel I would ultimately like.

You're buying an A6 Avant then?

Heading that way......

I'm waiting to see one in the metal. Then maybe next year when the first of the ex demos become avaialble...or I'll wait 3 years until there are a few about.

I fancy the 2.0TDi 170bhp, in either SE or Elegance spec. The 3.6 petrol would be fantastic, but the running costs would kill me...pretty much as close to a Superb VRS as we will get though I reckon!

will have to see one and hopefully test drive one, but the 1.8TSI in Elegance trim fulfills, my gadget addiction and may turn out to be a popular engine choice, don't think the diesel or 4x4 worth the extra for me.

depending on price may get the self park as a show-off additional gadget :)

hopefully my dealers gets one soon.

now to measure up to see if I can squeeze it in the garage!

No - but I've been invited to the demo day at the end of the month :)

that reminds me must phone my dealer and get an invite as it's next wed at my local (d)stealer

I'm just waiting it out for a secondhand 140 diesel estate ......so sometime next year

I'm definitely going to be ordering one, just as soon as the fleet terms are published.

Going to go for:

2.0TDi 170 Elegance DSG

3 spoke steering wheel with DSG paddles

ParkAssist

Premium sound system

Heated rear seats

Rear side sun blinds (and maybe sunset glass)

A lot depends on which options Skoda UK choose to offer, and how much they are. Park Assist is a definite, though.

I too will be looking for a 2-3 yr old Diesel Elegance estate - providing it has no lip on the entrance of the load area like on the Octavia estates.

Have any estates been built yet? (to test) are there any photo's of the tailgate knocking around the net?

If i had the money now, I would get the 170bhp diesel with 4x4... but as i dont I will wait a year or so and be looking at a demo nearly new one... Would be interested to see a V6 diesel too...

Now an estate? Are there any plans to do a genuine estate version, what a car that could be! Could solve the Renault rear issues too!

I looked very very hard at it for my wife's new car, but in the end we got a very good deal on a 2.0SE TDi DSG Passat Estate with MFD2, Premium Phone, Dynaudio, Comfort and Winter packs - £13800 for a 6-month old car with 9000 miles on the clock is pretty hard to beat really. It was from a company that had gone into liquidation. The sales rep whose car it was was practically crying as he handed the keys over.

And the residuals on the Superbs are absolutely shocking.

Sounds like the sales rep should have concentrated more on selling than speccing his new passat! :)

wja96, I think you might be getting a bit confused on the residuals front.

Currently, CAP reckon the residual on your Passat is 42% after 3 years/36K. On the new Superb, they reckon 41%.

On the old car, they are poor (mid 20's %), but what you can expect with the new model just around the corner.

Having said that, you got a greal deal on the Passat, which should nicely protect you against the depreciation. I think I'd have done the same thing, if I was in your position.

Will wait till got every £ out of the TIP and enjoy the car too much to change. Also give them a couple of years to sort out problems, might even wait till first facelift. Given the market they are competing in and Skoda desire to make and sell more will be very interesting to see if they hit that 41% residual figure. Early discounts suggests greater level of dep though should be better than current model.

I'm thinking Passat right now, I want a DSG because nothing can touch it for fuel economy in an auto experience, but don't want to cough 16k+ for a brand new car at this time.

i bye one!!

a 1.8 TFSI DSG7 PRAHA (france) with options

but i have it only in Octobre :-(

early discounts? what early discounts????

i think this car will do for skoda what the octy1 did :)

it is THAT good

He's right the Superb II is truly an amazing car so much so that I'm even tempted to get myself one next April as I don't want to pay company car tax on the demonstrators anymore.

I'm looking forward to getting it in the showroom and out on the road.
