Hi all,

I clean my car every week with out fail and have prefected my cleaning so it stays looking mint. But what do you guys use on you tyres. I use the auto glym tyre dressing but I dont think it that durable. I dont want anything that looks shiny. Shiny tyres looks tacky.

What do you guys use and think?

Meguiars Endurance high gloss tyre gel.

Meguiar's Endurance Tyre Gel here too.

You can have it as glossy as you like by repeating the application. Lasts reasonably well and doesn't run off in the rain like others I've tried.

On Detailing world they seem to be leaning towards Blackfire (from memory, name maybe slightly different).

Me neither.

I use Meg's Endurance as well, but not every session. Tend to save it for doing a full detail, or preparing for a meet/show etc.

Think the issue for people might be 'overdressed' tyres, where people use too much product and they just end up looking too shiny and plasticky. A small amount to raise the tyre away from a basic grey/tired black appearance is enough for me....

tyres imo look best as nourished and not overly shiney but to keep them looking that way requires them to be shined every now and then

i do liek a natural but well scrubbed tyre, but i normally put a bit of AG bumper gel on but buff it off pretty well just to stop tyre perishing etc etc,

AG Vinyl and Rubber care spray is good though has a limited life. Just spray and wipe off for a natural look or spray and leave wet and it will dry to a glossy finish. I usually spray and use a 2" paint brush to spread evenly.

Megs hot shine applied with a sponge, left overnight, leaves tyres black with no shine
