1st Skoda Fabia hatch Sept 2000 - Electra Glide in Blue? Now replaced with a yellow peril (christened by a neighbour) but in my mind 'Mellow Yellow' estate. Extra space required for wife's holiday luggage. Its taller but more economical and the brushed aluminium bezels on the air outlet reflect in the window just where you look at the wing mirror. May need to matt black it for safety! After 16 years of Jetta and Golf with a Polo in between I'm still amazed at the imrovements in performance and after sales service.- from Skoda. (My last Golf was killed by poor servicing from VAG garage). Now retired, I will take advantage of all the attributes of the Fabia at a price that no other European car can match - I hope!

I hate pointless chrome (include brushed stainless, ally, and "effect") bling that reflects everywhere too.

low battery indicated remove battery check voltage if 3v clean battery around the area where the contacts touch and the contacts also isopropal will do refit battery will save a new one

Have come to use the A/C for the first time this past week and noticed that pressing the button for the recirculating air doesn’t appear to work. Button presses but nothing happens it doesn’t light up and stays off Also through the media center doesn’t do anything, wondering if anyone has come across this before? Or is it a trip to Skoda?

Hi all, finally got around to getting some new shoes ordered for the girl. I'm getting a set of Hankook Ventus Evo K137 235/45 ZR18 98Y XL put onto the Pegasus alloys. I was considering changing out the locking wheel nut for just a regular nut? Which then prompted the second question, I picked up a set of Alcar 9021 17inch Steelies for Winter Tyres, do I need to run seperate nuts due to the alloy v steel nature? What it says on the tin, really; recently my oil warning light came on, flashed a few times, made a really loud intermittent beeping sound, and then turned off again. This happened several times during a journey, but actually stopped after a little while. I checked the oil level, and its fine, so I reckon it's an issue with the oil pressure sensor/switch (I did get an OBD tool, but that came up as no error codes, so I'm really in the dark here).
