IIRC your kia has a merc 2L engine that isn't exactly a clean example of a 2.0 TD engine.

The Octy 2 1.9 PD105 IIRC actually goes down a band next year.

The CRDI carens does not have the Merc engine it had the hyundi one, with a totally cr@p gearbox, the same one thats was fitted to the trajet

The estate is £120 this year, £110 next year and £115 the year after.

The hatchback is £120 this year, £90 next year and £95 the year after.

But with DSG both of them go to £145 this year, £150 next year and £155 the year after.

According to Parkers, and they have the correct CO2 according to the latest brochure.

I wonder why there is a discrepancy between the hatch and estate, it is only the body shape that changes:confused::confused:

Its the difference between 130g/km and 135g/km. Certainly my Golf estate is heavier than a hatchback, but I agree there is much less difference on the Skoda. It's 15kg heavier, and 0.1sec slower to 62mph (sic). I imagine the main difference will be due to the streamlining being better on the hatchback.

(BTW, those figures are for Classic/Ambient/Elegance. The other models are higher priced.)

Ahh the one I drove for a week had a merc foot operated handbrake and the engine sounded and looked very familiar. That went like **** off a shovel, but well i didn't like the rest of the car personally.
