Octavia varients reduced

Featured Replies

I see from the new Octavia brochure that the range has been thinned out quite a lot, especially affecting autos. The 2.0 tiptronic is now only available with L&K, the 1.6 tip only as Ambiente, and the 2.0 PD 140 DSG as well as the 1.8T only with Elegance and L&K. There is now no auto petrol in Elegance trim.

I guess this broadly reflects sales, but I wonder if stocks are being run out ready for the facelift (when by the way?), and suggests a possible 1.8T DSG, which is available with the new Superb. Does anyone have any ideas what Skoda's reasons are?

This is important to me as I was likely to buy an auto Octavia before Christmas!

Auto boxes of past have been detrimental to the economy and co2 output of the engine. Could this be a response to improving the "eco" credentials of the range ?

I think the range has been reduced for this Qtr in preperation for the facelifted Octy II. Might be worth holding out for a bit and see when the facelift is released here before commiting to an order.

Thanks VRStu.

Does this mean we should expect the facelift before Christmas do you think? Cheers

I don't know to be honst, but for sure you will have details before then. WK33 was the build commencement AFAIK.
