Success of bleeding brakes (so to speak)

Featured Replies

Thanks for the advice on the bleeding brakes, but the success came when I noticed there was a second bleed screw on the master cylinder which I bled and the job is now sorted.

Thanks

Glad our/my advice helped :)

i always bleed the master first if i have any probs

Its funny how many times it gets missed. Had a few cars in now that have been else where and got spongy pedals, Other garages have bled brakes but not done the master cylinder, normally you dont have to but if the level has dropped enough to get air in there it wont come out by bleding from the calipers.

Easy enough on the Octy, bloody night mare trying to do the S3 or TT though, no room what so ever. Also cars fitted with ESP have line pressure sensors int he master cylinder, these can play up.
