Just in case anyone fancy's changing the oil on the gear box as I did today on a tdi Octavia Elegance, takes 2 litres of 75 - 90 synthetic gear box oil. It has made a hell of a difference to the driving. Had the car for 44,000 miles and have decided to give it a treat.

Went overboard and renewed brake fluid plus the antifreeze.
