Dashboard scratch - help please!

Featured Replies

The other half accidently scratched the glove box door part of my Fabias trim with here engagement ring the other day, leaving a clear mark on the front of the trim panel.

I dont know, spend a small fortune on a ring and it then comes back to hurt me more!!

There is also a couple of other small dash marks I'd like to get out.

Any tips/advice greatfully received!

Cheers

Ryan

Buy a new glovebox door is the easy answer....

Self healing plastic is what we need :)

I'd say this was probably the best route; Skoda trim plastics are (IME) significantly cheaper than you expect

Good idea - I'll try some cleaning stuff on it first to see if it will blend in a bit more but also get a price from the dealer. Sods law though says I'll get a new part and it will happen again!

Ibought the bit that sits across the back of the boot, as I broke it with the spare wheel, can't remember how much, but not ££££.

I find Poorboys Trim stuff pretty good. Get plenty on a cloth and rub in well. Then go over the whole dash and glovebox door. Smells great and good at blending in.

Hair-drier on warm (and only warm) once you've give it a clean up with a dry cloth.
