MOT Straight Through WOO HOO ! ! !

Featured Replies

Car flew straight through this morning with NO problems and No adviseries whatsoever!

Had a look at the new Octy Vrs while i was waiting and have to say i prefer the Mk1 by a long shot!

Congrats, my MOT is next month so hopefully I will be happy like you

I have to admit the MK2 doesn't do it for me but I would love a MK1 in that metallic blue colour the MK2 is available in

Must admit that Blue is a tasty shade, quite like the yellow estate version for some reason lol, just something about the front end really, just . . .to . . . well . . . . er . . .. soft?

Mk1 red combi vRS for me, or poss black. That's my fave skoda for looks.

Well done on the mot mate, the octys are a solid car.

The Octy is a solid car! Am so happy with it, best car purchase ever made . . . . so far!

Missus recently had her first MOT on her 206 and had to have like £200 spent on new suspension arm and things . . . . stupid french piece of poo!

I went the french car route once with a peugeot 406 HDI and have to say it was like driving a comfy sofa around, truly a great ride but was let down badly by very poor electrics :thumbdwn: Engine was solid though albeit a bit slow :)

Do you have a standard exhaust on your octy

Its just that iv read sports cats can sometimes cause the car to fail its MOT

Iv got mine due in a couple of months

My Blueflame sports cat passed its emissions ok but it was quite close. I have heard that dodgy lambda sensors can cause emissions problems. Mines on 107k so this maybe worth looking at if it fails next time.

Never had any problems with mine - and mine is a 52 plate, it just needed a quick blast up the road to heat everything up then they stuck the sensor on and all was fine with the emmisions!

Congrats on passing your MOT:thumbup:

I know, i know next thing got to get him lowered

nice one!!

Note to all Francophobes - the only problems I ever had with 2 Citroens were tyres and brake corrosion, and I've had brake corrosion with the Octy as well. I guess it's my own fault for not using the brakes, because all they do is slow you down? ;)

I never said the french cars are bad, I actually rather liked my pug and to date it is the best ride quality of any car I've owned just was let down by electrical gremlins that would come and go which really spoilt an otherwise great car.

I would still have it if it wasn't for the niggly things. It seemed like I would fix one problem and another one popped up weeks or even days later :thumbdwn: It was 6 years old though but so is my octi and the electrics have been fine on that apart from the one touch windows have never worked but I can live with that :o

It wasn't aimed at you, beyond in a "they're not all like that you know" sense. OK?
