New (to me) Roomster!

Featured Replies

Hi all. I've now collected my car, and it's been great so far. While I remember them, please may I ask a couple of questions (unless they're obvious RTFM ones, clearly...) which I didn't get a chance to ask the dealer:

- Locking wheelnut key. Firstly, how can I check that the car has locking nuts (although I haven't checked so may be easy), and secondly where is the key usually stored - with the spare?

- Secondly, the car always resets to the tripmeter whenever I start the car. I'd prefer it on the overall miles travelled so press the jobbie to switch the display over, but having to do it every time I start the car is hugely tiring & I'm wondering if it's possible to change it permanently.

- Zeroing the tripmeter - at a guess, you hold the button in until it resets? I tried when I collected the car, but managed to change the time so half nine at night so all the garages were shut :D - had to change it back then they were open again!!

The car's been great so far (but then it's only got 2300 miles on!) & I'm looking forward to lots more driving!

Thanks for the help.

Nice to hear from another Roomy noob like me !

The location of the locking wheel nut key (on any car) is down to the personal preference of the owner - and it's not something that most people will want to disclose publicly :)

If you can't find it, best thing to do is ask the garage you purchased from where they put it.

Yep. If you have alloys fitted you will have Mcguards. You will find the black plastic cap removal tool and the locking nut adaptor with the spare. Keep this safe as the dealer will have to order you one if you loose it and that means you can't get your wheels off unless you know another way ;)

Not sure about this one. Mine always stays at average MPG which is where I leave it

You should just hold it in for 2 seconds and it resets.

That manual is there for a reason
