hi!

Got a huge problem, I bought a new key and now my vagcom wont store the new key or my old key.

Did just as the guide @ octavia vrs.com

When I cant press test (VAGCOM does it for me kind of) and then when I press store and tries to save, 0 will come up as stored value insted off in my case 2.

Someone who can help me??

What version of VCDS are you using? Mind posting a complete scan?

What exactly are you trying to do, code remote controls to the convenience system or key transponders to the immobiliser system?, and for what vehicle?.

Ive got a Octy VRS mk1.

Managed do get my old key working but my new key wont work.

Will try again to night, to hot to work outside = )

Did get both keys working once but Immo light was flashing and reprogramming key faultcode but the car did start....

It could well be an incompatible transponder in the new key.

Could be a dozen of things, so lets start at the beginning...

What version of VCDS are you using? Mind posting a complete scan?

Additionally the current values from MVB 20-25 would be helpful with the new (supposed to be matched) key in the ignition.

New keys transponder is locked, but the fixed key doesn't match - thats your problem. Is that key used or where/how did you get it?

A current version of VCDS would display similar data directly inside the program.

The key is rubbish then......hope I can get a working replacement.

Borrowed a mates VAG-COM, thinking of getting it myself. Wounderful program!

No, a locked transponder can not be unlocked. A transponder has a fixed code and a variable/rolling code, if a transponder is locked and the fixed code doesn't match then the key in question was most likely previously matched to a different car.
