PD160 intake

Featured Replies

I have had a search for all the part numbers and prices for the pipe and trumpet, so today i went to the seat dealer to order them up.

They must be really popular now as the price has jumped up to £50.89 for the pipe and £19ish for the trumpet, i was just wondering if these are the right prices and if there was any other places to get them from.

Cheers in advance.

Seen a few on ebay now and again could try there might save a few pennys

Yeah it does seem they have twigged on lol, cheers for the help lads :D

i'll check the for sale section now.

Get a Seat splitter before they do the same to the pricing on those!

rougemont got me one for £55 a couple of weeks ago. Drop him a PM and see if he's still got any around.

rougemont is advertising them now in the for sale section. Good seller

Just my 2 pence worth.............

I rang a SEAT dealer a few weeks ago and yes although I have binned the prices it was about £15 for one bit but £55 for the other.

So I also contacted rougemont who sorted me out for £55 if I remember correctly! Very good seller, paypall payed, fast delivery, well wrapped (This post is sounding like a feedback reply on ebay now)

As KLM said, Good Seller!

Get a Seat splitter before they do the same to the pricing on those!

I just got one from my local Seat dealer for £21 so they are still cheap.

What kind of performance enhancement does the pd160 intake give you.?

Is it noticeable.? I assume people are using them with uprated panel filters instead of cheap standard ones.?

Cheers for the replys, i have PM'd rougemont and all is sorted hopefully :D I may invest in a splitter as well cheers for the heads up on that one too.

I'm not too sure if you'll gain much from it without a map, i'm just getting everyting prepared for when i get mine remapped.

Also i have heard a lot about the ITG panel filter, whats your views on these or is there a better alternative?

i'm slightly confused is pd160 the make of a fabia or seat

Well i recieved the air intake today so cheers rougemont!

While i was in there i thought i'd check the air filter to see if it needed cleaning before i buy an uprated one, and low and behold a brand new looking K&N was sitting in there, well it looked like a K&N so my question is..is the standard filter a paper one or a red mesh one that looks like a K&N, if so happy days!

but it does makes you wonder if anything else has been modified i.e previously chipped etc.

No the paper one looks like a paper one.

They are crap...

Checked mine today... and its shot.

So ordered myself a nice red K&N one.!

Only way to know if anything else has been changed is to drive another vRS (standard) and see what the difference between urs and a norm.!

I will PM rougemont now... see if he has anymore PD160 intakes.

Fitted my splitter today... £21.!
