most power from a vRS.??

Featured Replies

Who has got the most amount of power from their vRS.?

I was thinking, the standard vRS is quite a restricted engine, there are many cars with a 1.9tdi which have alot more power and it got me wondering.?

What do you have to change to get the same power.? And then I thourght, whats the most you could possibly get from one.

So I have a few questions...?

What is your BHP and Tourque.

And how much did you spend to get it up to the almighty power.?

How much MORE fun is it to drive.?

Would you say its worth it.?

Thanks

Michael

Big Turbo

FMIC

Clutch

Exhaust system with de-cat

pd160 intake and air filter

custom remap

will have you knocking at 200-220ish bhp, maybe more

I'm sure jason will let you know.

Re-profiled cams

Ported head

The list is endless if finances allow.

Derv doctor mentioned 300bhp

aahh haa but his isn't a VRS though is it ;)

the most you could get is as much as you are willing to spend......

my mod's are in my sig and im around the 220 bhp mark.....theres only a handfull of us on here

154BHP

Total spent = Nadda :P

vRS "ENGINE" only, but I've done one dyno run of 259.4hp and 370 lb/ft. Hoping to reach 300 sooner than later though as done loads of mods since with no retune. Much of my extra kick comes from nitrous, and in the future kicking will be done by the recently fitted water/methanol system.

Expensive though. If you plan to reach 250hp, I would set aside at least £6,000 to comprehensively cover all bases - turbo, brakes, suspension, zorst, injectors, clutch, FMIC, etc etc etc.

Is it true derv doctor have had one at 300 bhp for a while now ?

what sort of turbo is used to get to that ?

They claimed as such, but to be honest, publicity about that car has been practically nil which makes for very sceptical viewing.

I will be posting videos and dyno plots galore once mine gets there. :)

I'm pretty sure they used the TD stage 2 on that golf but with a few other bits claimed to be being used as well. They need to do some proper marketing of that golf if they're to get the TDI business off the project.

I had 248bhp and 381lbft on my old map but turned it down a little to 230bhp and 382lbft

My mods were all for sale most have sold, now i have just 130bhp and its slow.

costs....... haha, you dont wanna know

There are more on here than you probably think. I know of at least 5 Fabia's in West Midlands (me included) who have around 200-220 BHP...
