Strange Thing!

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Now I know that if you keep the unlock button depressed, all your windows will wind down but does anybody know if there is anything else that would trigger this feature?

I came to my car on the drive this morning to find all the windows down! But the car was locked!

Now I know that last night we had thunder and heavy rain but fortunately the interior is not wet so thankfully, it must have happened afterwards.

Anybody else experienced similar?

My only real problem now is that I had two sunblinds suckered to the rear windows. The sucker bit has now gone below the lbottom line of the window!

i had this once before when i was at college i was Channing into my boots next to my car and turned round all the windows were down.. i though it was one of my mates winding me up but turned out the car was locked so they couldn't..

mystery of the skodas

Were the keys in your pocket at the time? It can be easy to keep the 'open' button pressed when you sit down.

Just because the car was locked means nothing as the car automatically re locks itself after about 30 seconds if a door or the boot is not opened.

You could always get someone with VAG-COM to enable the lock/unlock bleeps so you may hear if you accidentally unlock the car.

lol maybe i was pressing the unlock button on my keys in my bpocket when i was putting boots on!

i was worried while i was at college that day that when i went back to my car there would be nothing left inside because the windows went down again and someone stole the lot

touch wood nothing since :D

I don't know if I sat on the key or something! Maybe it happened just before I came out the door in the morning (the keyfob has quite a range). Just glad that nobody nicked nothing and that it didn't happen when it had been raining during the night. Will have to be careful where I put the keys then!

If you have maxidot and rain sensor, simply enable rain closure ;)

VAG keys are very sensitive when in pockets - especially in tight ones, back pockets, bulky keys and wallets.

And ladies, dont think you're safe. All that crap in your bags......

Do you know if this is possible on a Superb? (I have not seen an option for it in VCDS)
