Tyres - Not the usual thread either

Featured Replies

I've been saving to get a nice set of F1 eagles when my original Bridge Stones finally gave way, as they seemed to be lasting forever. 17K on them so I though why not use a bit of the money to treat me & the misses to a last minute deal.

So there I am feeling all good when I find not 1 but 2 flat tyres! :thumbdwn:

Any how after some phoning round I've got a full set of Accelera 205/45Z R16's for a grand total of £188 fully fitted. Not sure how good they are but they have got me out of a fix.

Will post up a mini review after a couple of days use.

i know money can be tight, but tbh i never understand people who skimp on getting decent tyres.

you can pick up a set of toyo's for £214 delivered. i'd rather pay the extra £25 and have something that i know is decent rather than take pot luck.

only disappointment is that the toyos are soft as hell and mine have lasted about 7k miles.

must admit i'm in full agreement here:thumbup:

Would normally agree but couldn't get a big name brand till mid next week & I need the car for tomorrow. I can always change them in a couple of months if they turn out to be crap, plus I've heard very mixed reviews of the Toyos to be honest.

Well just been out & passed my IAM with these babies on & they seemed to handle great. So after the first 100miles they seem to be performing well.
