Nasty squeeling from left hand wheel

Featured Replies

Hi there this morning on my way to tesco, i heard a loud screech from my left hand wheel, sounded a bit like a train on rails when it pulls off. Plus a few knocking noises, after a few chosen words and a full lock to right it cleard up, any one know what it could have been and will it start again.....many thanks:(

Usually a stone got in to the brake lining

Happened to myself and a n other on here, once cleared gone until next stone

OMG the noise is as you describe a train on rusty rails

Hope that is all yours was too

I'll second the 'stone in the brake' theory

If it's not a stone it could be a seized caliper sticking to the disc as I suffered this on the drivers side.

Hope this helps.

Well touch wood, i've had no trouble at the moment althogh the worst has hit me, My hours have been reduced to 16.5 hours a week and my furby may have to go

You may have hit a cat, dragged it along for a bit then finally despatched its body a mile down the road

did it sound like a cat? could've been a squirrel but they dont really squeel as such, or a fox, but you know when you 'nip' one of those.............
