Airbag Light Woes!

Featured Replies

Hey all, recently had the glovebox out and the airbag switch disconnected to fix a broken pin on a oscilating dash vent.

Anyway more to the point, earlier on in the day the car had a mini valet. So the windows were left open. As the day went on it began to rain, so me being a total numb nuts. I turned the ignition on and shut the windows....while the switch was unplugged.

Needless to say i've got a airbag warning light on now, even though the connector is securely clicked into place.

Will the fault eventually clear its self after, say 20 starts and removal of the key?

Or will it continously illuminate regardless to how many complete cycles of the start/stop cycle.

Presuming if that applies, the car would need to be put on a code reader/clearer that can gain access to the Airbag ECU?

Many Thanks In Advance!

No one know the answer?

You will most probably need to have the code cleared. When doing anything on the airbag system you should disconnect the battery.
