hi everyone my fabia is running on the custom code remap and even when i take it steady in 6th gear on a straight struggle to keep it around 50mpg around locally i am only getting around 40pmg if lucky i was hoping for better things when i had the car service which was done last week but still no major change i can regular see under 40mpg what could this be? also noticed quite a bit of smoke on start up etc is this cos of remap etc any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated many thanks

MAF at all? mine has been smoking more recently and there is a mod to do called the 'Cage mod' - do a search, it's where you add silicome grease to the terminals of the MAF and it's supposed to help, might be worth a try, I'm going to try it at the weekend.

If not, could it be a turbo problem? i'e' pipe off somewhere?

Just my thoughts....

cant see the remap causing it...mine remapped and shows 70mpg at 70 on motorway and isnt smokey.
