Hello there, Craig here. Just registered so here goes. I am seriously thinking about buying an octavia 4x4 estate. Is there anything to worry about when checking one out? Is there a handy buyers guide on here that i can look at first? Any help would be much appreciated. I have a ford focus at present and before that a wonderful fiat coupe 20v turbo. Thanks a lot guys.

Welcome, a 4X4 would be a brilliant choice for a car to start modifying:)

Welcome :)

Welcome to Brisky.

4x4 Octy's are fantastic cars for a modding base, Have a search around the forums or start harrasing a member called Bengie, he is the Oracle of Octy 4x4 knowledge being a fully qualified Skoda Destruction test engineer :)

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I have seriously started looking on AT and will keep my eye on the for sale section here. I'd prefer to buy off a forum member if possible. I'd idealy like a black estate but a hatch would be ok. I would prefer less than 80k and had a recent cambelt change. If anyone knows of someone selling them be great if you could let me know. From what i have read they shouldn't be any harder to look after than a normal car and are pretty hard wearing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks again, Craig
