Service Parts Pricing

Featured Replies

Can anyone comment in the prices for the following please - I just want to make sure there is enough money in the kitty for the parts first :D

1) Fuel filter

2) Oil filter

3) Cabin filter

4) Air filter

5) 5L GTX Magnatex oil (You know the green good stuff)

5) Brake fluid

6) Front bulb

6) Rear bulb

Is there anything else that needs to be done for a service?

I ve not been too good doing servicing as moneys been a bit tight recently and I ve not had it serviced for about 2 years although I dont do much driving to begin with

Finally any ideas how many labour hours this would take to do? And of course what a reasonable hourly rate is :)

Phew - Thats all the questions I ve had over the last few weeks

What engine? :P

Based on fabia vRS I would estimate:

1) Fuel filter -£20

2) Oil filter - £5

3) Cabin filter - £12-£15

4) Air filter - £10

5) 5L GTX Magnatex oil (You know the green good stuff) - £35-£40

5) Brake fluid - £5 a litre for DOT4, maybe more

6) Front bulb - which bulb? dipped = roughly £10

6) Rear bulb - £3-£4

PS: Do you want a cheap pollen filter for the cabin? I got a new one here. ;)

Edit: I just looked back and noticed you said it was a 1.4 MPI. Most of my guesses are still OK then I think - fuel filter might be cheaper.

Around £50 per hour for a VAG Specialist I would think.
