Team Dynamic or OZ Racing?

Featured Replies

I am looking at some new rims,:thumbup:and would like some opinions please:)

PRO Race 1.2 race dynamic in silver, {7.5x18 or 8x18} (not sure which)???

OZ Ultraleggera in silver, {7x18 or 8x18} (again not sure)???

At the mo I have std suspension with replica 8x18 R32 rims and it seems to groove steer and it goes light on the steering over 85 and at 95+ it feels very light, it also pulls badly when I drive on a slightly crowned road. when I had the std 7x17 on it seemed planted and didnt groove steer at all.

as you can see above I am thinking of getting narrower rims to try and eliminate this, I have spoke to OCTAVIA VRS and he has the super/ultraleggera 8x18 and has no probs, is the probs I am having because the rims are heavy and not good quality?

thanks for gettin this far, not much left promis:D

The team dynamic ones are nearly half the price and I really like them, has anyone got them on there car?

I love the look of the ultras and the weight issue is good too but the price is a lot, is it worth the extra cash?

also what sizes from above do you think I should go for?

cheers

billy

I have found out how much the TEAM DYNAMIC rims weigh, 8x18 are from 9kg isnt that about the same as the OZ ULTRALEGGERA 8x18????

Probably not far off. Team dynamics are a good wheel. Mine are OZ Superleggeras and got a cracking deal - £450 quid because the Ultraleggeras had just replaced them. Must say I don't like the Ultras as much. Most good makes will be lighter than what you run now but is it the weight of the wheels that are causing your groovesteer? - I'd be surprised if it was.

cant put it down to much else as it was fine when i put the std wheels back on about a month after haveing the 18" on. I did that to use the tyres up as there was still some life left in them. I read somewere that it is normally caused by the wider wheels. that is why I wanna go to 7.5 on the team dynamic.

what is the diff between the super and the ultra?

That is a vvvvv good price for them rims. you were lucky, if i could get them for that id get 2 sets for if the missus ever curbs it lol.

when she finally gets to drive it that is lol

OK Superlegeras at the top and the Ultras below. Basicily the only difference is the spokes go further breaking up the smooth outside rim of the wheel. They dont look bad in photo's ect but I've seen them on a couple of cars and in halfords and glad I got the supers.

I think you can still get the superlegeras anyway. Just over a grand in most places like Demon tweeks - I just phoned the place I got them from for you and he recons he cant get them anymore. Wish I'd got 2 sets now but just dont have the room.

cheers for that mate, most helpfull, if you didnt point it out i prob wouldnt of noticed but I see what you meen, the suppers are nicer.

oh well, I have looked in a few halfords but never seen the super or ultras.

I have enquired about them both and been told I can only get 8jx18. it is 3 week wait for the team dynamics and 2-3 week for the OZ.

does anywere stock them or are they all made to order?

lol im soaked mate

it is porno really should be illigal

get black pro race 1.2's, someone had them on their black mk1 vRS and it looked damn good - black on black is pretty much always a good look

god dam i want some!, i just wish our nz supplier had either of those wheels in stock!!! but theyve stopped importing oz wheels as theres not enough demand :( they had a set of 17x7 OZ record wheels in stock and i picked these up for a bargan price (cheeper than most crap wheels!!!) have just fitted some vogtland lowering springs (impressed :) ) and shall fit the wheels up and do a wheel alignment this weekend, in my experience wheels that are wider than 7" on the front wheels you do get alot of tramlining, we get alot of customers with beemers complaining about this!

Ok I have come to the conclusion that the extra £400+ is not worth spending on the ultraleggera's so I have gone for the Pro Race 1.2 8x18 as apparently they dont do the 7.5 for my car???? oh well

been told that the ultras are 8kg eac and the pro race are 9kg each so again saving £400 is better for the sake of 4-5 kg of weight over all.

Unfortunatly I have to wait for them to be made. soon as I get them on Ill post some pics. not seen anyone on here with the silver ones on yet.

black on black is not my thing as it blends in and I like the contrast.

even though ive seen the black ones on and it does look good.

so get white, white on black is only slightly less awesome than black on black :D
