A little help needed

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I need a small bit of help. Over the weekend some little s**tbag decided to vandalise some of the cars in our car park and even though mine was in the car port they thought that i would like to have the C word scratched into the bonnet in large letters.

The problem i now have is that i cant drive round with this on my bonnet and offend everyone that looks at my car, however nor can I afford to get my bonnet resprayed......

What shall i do as a temporary fix thats cheap until I can afford to sort it out properly... idea's have included halfords spray can/black vinyl to cover it or black vinyl like the stuff found on capri's rooves.

please help me

Cheap temporary cover up that won't affect the ability to get it repaired?

- Crayola wax crayon in the scratches followed by a hard wax such as colli 476s

- Chips away may be able to touch up and sand back to hide it.

- Get another bonnet from a breakers yard.

You don't say what colour your car is, but this may help as some colours are easier to hide repairs in that others.

Excellent, given me some ideas, thanks

Yep - crayon of that colour followed by a hard wax is your best temporary bet
